The Latest Adventure

We meandered our way south from St. Augustine down A1A along the Atlantic coast...What a beautiful ride!  The down side is that most of the coast is one large hotel after another.  We did see some wind-surfers enjoying the waves.

In a check of the news, we found that the Disney Channel was going to be filming the Christmas parade at Disney Friday and Saturday. We checked into our condo at the Mystic Dunes Resort, a beautiful complex with 4 pools and at least as many golf courses!  There was even a mini-golf course we had hoped to try...

We hit the Magic Kingdom in time to view the taping of the Shake-It-Up cast in the parade!  The magic continued that night til 1:00 am and we stayed until almost the very end.  The Electric Light Parade was wonderful.

A bit of sleep and then back to do the Animal Kingdom.  They made sure I had the experience of a water ride...just to be sure I knew what it felt like to get "rained" upon.  Then up to Mount Everest for a speedy coaster ride to "dry" off.  My what a good sport I am:)

The next day was Epcot and the tour around the world.  One of my favorite parts...walking through each of the countries and seeing their traditions and tasting the food.

Day four was Hollywood Studios.  Karsten and I rode the Tower of Terror ride...about 6 drops on an "elevator" from the highest point in the park.  Then the Aerosmith roller coaster...definitely not my favorite.  In fact, I don't plan to do that one ever again!  But, of course, that was a favorite for Rick and Kar!

All in all our Park experience has been great!  Kar has gotten many autographs from some of her favorite characters and loves being a "princess".

On December 7 we headed to Mount Dora to spend the evening with some friends who spend their summers living in Green!  Mount Dora is a great place.  The plan was dinner and back to our Villa...But you know what they say about plans.

As we attempted to leave our vehicle would not go in reverse!  Thankfully Joe and Sheri had a condo waiting for us and have been the greatest of hosts.  And our Denali has been towed to a GM dealer for transmission work.  Talk about an expensive vacation...Yikes!  We are hoping to have the car back quickly, but so far no word from the dealer.  Tune in later for that update.

No wrench will throw us of course!  We still plan to meet Rick's brother for dinner tonight and Karsten would like to go back to the Magic Kingdom one last time.  At this point we are not sure if we will make it to the Gulf.
